A week of orientation and immersion in the city of Bra during Cheese

The University of Gastronomic Sciences’ scholastic activities all begin on Monday, September 16th, in the week that sees the city of Bra brought to life by Cheese.
Starting Monday, September 16th, the incoming students of the three-year undergraduate course in Gastronomic Sciences and Cultures and of the graduate course in Food Innovation & Management will be immersed in a rich orientation schedule that will introduce them to university life in Pollenzo, as well as to the festive atmosphere of Cheese 2019, the preeminent international exhibition dedicated to the world of dairy.
There are 104 undergraduate students from Italy, Afghanistan, Brazil, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Kenya, Senegal, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda, the United States, and Uruguay and thirty-two graduate students from Italy, Brazil, Ghana, Japan, India, the United States, and Venezuela, all of whom join the increasingly diverse student community that enlivens the city of Bra.
Monday, September 16th begins with a welcome message from Vice-Rector and Director of Education, Professor Nicola Perullo, followed by the presentation of the different student associations and the Academic Tables. Everything continues Tuesday, September 17th, with events dedicated to UNISG projects such as the Granaries of Memory, The New Gastronome, and the Ark of Taste, followed by a presentation by the Rector, Professor Andrea Pieroni and UNISG president Carlo Petrini. On Wednesday, September 18th students will meet the teachers of the different courses, and on Thursday, September 19th they will visit the Educational Gardens, the Gastronomic Society, and Bottega Local.
From Friday, September 20th, it will be a total immersion for everyone at Cheese, to discover the world of dairy products in all their facets.
