Graduation Session for International Students in Pollenzo
Friday, March 6 - Aula Magna, Cascina Albertina
On Friday, March 6, the graduation session for international students enrolled in the Undergraduate and Graduate degree programs at the University of Pollenzo will take place.
Thesis defenses will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Aula Magna (Cascina Albertina). Following this, after 11:30 a.m., the Graduation Ceremony with the awarding of diplomas will take place, also in the Main Hall.
Graduate Degree in Sustainable Food Innovation and Management
Max William Bertram Denvir, 36, from São Vicente (Brazil), will defend his thesis entitled: “Rights, Narratives and the Governance of Food Systems: A Comparative Study on how Civil Society Coalitions in Brazil and Mexico framed and supported the public debate on food policy between 2023 and 2025,” supervised by Prof. Gabriele Proglio.
Undergraduate Degree in Gastronomic Sciences and Cultures
Davide Giorgi, 25, from Genoa (Italy), will defend his thesis entitled: “A Sociological Investigation into the Economic and Cultural Value of Tuna between Industry and Traditional Fishing,” supervised by Prof. Paolo Corvo.
Gabriella Iaconelli Soares Bruno, 38, from São Paulo (Brazil), will defend her thesis entitled: “Stabilizing the Ground: Food Heritage, Territory, and the Problem of Continuity,” supervised by Prof. Nicola Perullo.
Francesco Kretly, 22, from Cuneo (Italy), will defend his thesis entitled: “On the Shoulders of Giants: The Genealogy of Mowing and the Possibility of Inhabiting the Landscape, between Abandonment and Renewal in the Gesso and Maira Valleys,” supervised by Prof. Flavio D'Abramo.
