"When Israel met Switzerland in the Middle East" that's the claim by the three students who were cooking at Le Tavole Accademiche on Tuesday June 12.
Ruth Von Strauss and May Siri from Israel together with Enzo Cerletti from Switzerland declared: "We just want to show you guys what makes our stomach happy with some simple happy food and some good music, our concept is that there is no concept".
Their menu was really a crossover of flavors and cultures. That's what the UNISG people enjoyed yesterday!
Lemony peas soup, a tasty dish with peas, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, red lentils, coriander, parsley, mint, sage, lemon, lemon peel; agnolotti with Labane, oil with Zaatar seasoning, cherry tomatoes and black mayo; Gyro made by a piadina and slow cooked pulled meat with crispy salad of fennel, red onion and herbs with sumak. And for dessert: broken Pavlova, meringue with soaked strawberry with black pepper, mint and Persian lemon cream.
