Friday January 26 Pollenzo will host the 1st Board Meeting of Agroecology Europe, a no-profit association founded in 2016 that aims to analyse, develop and promote the transition towards agroecology-based farming and food systems. The overall goal of the Association is to support agroecological research, education and training.
The Association intends to place agroecology high on the European agenda of sustainable development of farming and food systems and to foster interactions between actors in science, practice and social movements, by facilitating knowledge sharing and action.
The board members - agronomists, agroecologist, scholars, researchers, activists from civil society and NGOs from all over Europe - will arrive on January 25 and held the meeting on January 26: they'll be welcomed by Paola Migliorini, Assistant Professor in Agronomy and Plant Production System at the University of Gastronomic Science and member of the board as well.
The new elected board is formed by Paolo Barberi ( Italy), Stephane Bellon (France), Tomaso Gaifami (Italy), Vasileios Gkisakis (Greece), Margriet Goris (The Netherlands), Vincent Melis (Belgium), Paola Migliorini (Italy), Alain Peeters (Belgium), Jan Douwe Van Der Ploeg (The Netherlands), Alexander Wezel (France/Germany).
