May 14, 2012 – UN Indigenous Peoples’ Forum Welcomes First Guest Speaker in its 10-Year History

Slow Food President Carlo Petrini will speak at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) on May 14 on the right to food and food sovereignty. His invitation to join the New York meeting at UN headquarters, as a valued “friend and supporter of Indigenous Peoples”, marks the first time in the ten year history of the Forum, that an external guest has been invited to take the floor. May 15, 2012 – Carlo Petrini meets UNISG Alumni at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York

On the 15th Carlo Petrini will meet UNISG Alumni to talk about your experiences at UNISG, to know what they’re doing now, to try to link in a better way Slow Food USA with UNISG and its former students, and to show them the new UNISG website. The meeting will take place at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York (686 Park Avenue), at 4:30 p.m. and it will be ended around 6 p.m. You are all invited, along with prospective students who have contacted UNISG.
