BIOGRAPHY

Ecological economist, PhD in analysis and governance of sustainable development. She specialises in the governance of natural resource management systems and the assessment of their sustainability through the integration of environmental and social variables (indicators, life cycle assessment, multi-criteria analysis), with a particular focus on food production systems and the valorisation of waste/by-products. Author of scientific publications in international journals such as Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Cleaner Production, GeoForum, Systems, International Environmental Agreement: Politics, Law and Economics, British Food Journal, she is co-author of the book ‘Circular Economy for Food. Matter, Energy and Knowledge in Circulation.

She is Food Manager at the University of Turin and since 2020 she has been part of the staff of the Sustainability Area of the Department of Buildings and Sustainability. Since 2014, she has collaborated in the elaboration and implementation of the University’s environmental sustainability policy, in particular on food consumption issues related to green public procurement. He is the operational contact for the University of Turin in the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS) and in the Working Group on Food, also of the RUS.

She has carried out project management activities for the realisation of training modules and teaching kits on environmental sustainability, in collaboration with different entities, in projects funded at European (LIFE, EuropeAid, Interreg-ALCOTRA, H2020) and national-regional (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation) level.

Since 2019 he has been a lecturer of the course Systemic Design for Circular Economy for Food _ Laura Magistrale in Food Industry Management and of the course Designing Sustainability – Master in Food Communication & Marketing at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo.
