Quality Assurance
The University of Gastronomic Sciences is committed to ensuring and continuously improving quality across all areas of activity through which it pursues and develops its Mission.
To this end, the University has built a structured, integrated system of guidelines and procedures—designed to support the actions and efforts of everyone on campus in achieving our institutional goals. Special attention goes to the quality of processes and outcomes, while always keeping the needs of our key stakeholders in mind, starting with our students.
Our Quality Assurance (QA) system operates within the national framework for evaluation, quality assurance, and university accreditation defined by the Ministry. This framework includes an internal evaluation process led by each university, an external evaluation, and the accreditation of campuses and degree programs.
ANVUR (the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes) provides the guidelines and manages the AVA system (Self-Assessment, Evaluation, Accreditation). The AVA system involves initial and periodic accreditation of degree programs and university campuses, regular evaluation of quality, efficiency, and results achieved by universities, and the strengthening of universities’ self-assessment systems for teaching and research activities.
Organization of the university quality assurance system
