Starting from the Academic Year 2024-2025 a double degree agreement between USI – Università della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland) and UNISG – University of Gastronomic Science (Pollenzo, Italy) will be active.
UNISG students enrolled in the MSc in Food Industry Management spending their third semester at USI in Lugano and attending selected courses of the Master in International Tourism will be awarded, upon completion of all needed tests, also USI’s Master in International Tourism. Such Master has been established in 2003 and provides a wide overview on Tourism and its many dimensions, a context in which food consumption and enogastronomic culture are extensively enjoyed. USI is a young, highly international public Swiss university, the perfect place where to learn tourism.
USI students enrolled in the Master in International Tourism can spend their third semester in Pollenzo, attending selected courses of the MSc in Food Industry Management and, upon completion of all needed tests, can obtain also the UNISG graduate degree. The MSc in Food Industry Management offers a managerial education specifically tailored to the food industry. It develops students’ ability to analyze economic dynamics, such as consumption trends and access to strategic resources for food production.
The University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo is a private university, legally recognized by the Italian State, created in 2004 by an initiative of Slow Food to give academic dignity to gastronomy and promote an interdisciplinary model of study of food. A dynamic institution with a strongly international footprint, UNISG trained over 3,800 students from 100 countries since 2004.
The agreement provides for an annual exchange of a maximum number of 10 students for each institution.
