Ten students from Italy, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Kenya and Rwanda are presenting their theses in order to graduate from the three-year undergraduate program
Friday, July 12this graduation day at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo. Thesis defences and discussions begin at 9 am at Aula Miroglio in Cascina Albertina.
Here are all the graduates of the Three-year Undergraduate program in Gastronomic Sciences and their theses:
Asya Argentieri, 21 years from San Michele Salentino (BR), discusses the thesis entitled: “Social Farming in Puglia” advised by Professor Paola Migliorini.
Andrea Boccardo, 25 years from Brussels, discusses the thesis entitled: “Rediscovering Flavours. Spelled Pasta from the Ear to the Table: A Successful Challenge?” advised by Professor Paola Migliorini.
Anna Bonino, 22 years from Alba, discusses the thesis entitled: “Food as Means of Peace”, advised by Full Professor Nicola Perullo.
Ines Mukazayire Breazzano, 24 years from Rwanda, discussed the thesis entitled: “A Case Study of Waste Management in Rwanda: Reducing and Enhancing Organic Waste in “Soleluna” Restaurant to Create New Resources for Local Farmers”, advised by Professor Franco Fassio.
Serena Carlini Dabove, 24 years from Savona, discusses the thesis entitled: “Eating Lean Food between the Nineteenth and Twentieth Century – Father Gaspare Delle Piane’s Extremely Lean Kitchen and his Time”, advised by Professor Antonella Campanini.
Enzo Loris Cerletti, 24 years from Switzerland, discusses the thesis entitled: “Vertical Farming: Controlled-environment Agriculture for Future Urban Food Supply”, advised by Professor Paola Migliorini.
Jean-Paul Charles Garin, 20 years from France, discusses the thesis entitled: “Water for Life and Food Security, Time for a Shift”, advised by Professor Franco Fassio.
Ivo Häfliger, 24 years from Switzerland, discusses the thesis entitled: “Experimental Application of the Food Pairing Theory of Chocolate”, advised by Professor Gabriella Morini.
James Gatei Karuga, 30 years from Kenya, discusses the thesis entitled: “Analysing Factors Influencing Small Scale Producers in Accessing Sustainable Markets in Nakuru Country, Kenya”, advised by Professor Damiano Cortese.
