Vini e Terre di Borgogna

with Giampaolo Gravina and Camillo Favaro

in ENGLISH and ITALIAN (in alternation, without simultaneous translation)

Vini e Terre di Borgogna (Fil Rouge, 2018) is the most recent book published in Italy about Burgundy. The history, geology and wine production of this extraordinary French terroir had been thoroughly investigated by Armando Castagno in Borgogna: Le vigne della Cote d’Or (Buongiornovino, 2017), but there was still a need for a more comprehensive overview of the winemaking panorama. This is the challenge that Giampaolo Gravina and Camillo Favaro took on, travelling the region, meeting winemakers, tasting wines and ultimately producing a 560-page book, illustrated with photos by Maurizio Gjivovich, that offers a portrait of the wineries and their wines. Passionately written, it is of great use not only to Burgundy lovers but also to any connoisseur who wants to learn the secrets of one of the world’s most iconic wine regions.

The two authors will be participating in a presentation led by Michele A. Fino, director of the Master in Wine Culture Communication and Management.
