UNISG @ Asio Gusto Slow Food, Seoul (Korea)

The next edition of AsiO Gusto will take place from November 18th to 22nd, 2015 in the Korean International Exhibition Centre (KINTEX), located close to Seoul, South Korea.

500 exhibitors from 44 countries, 219.000 sqm of exhibition space, more than 500.000 visitors, 69.000.000€ of economical impact on the territory with a visitors’ expense of 9.000.000€ during the event. These are the numbers that have characterized the 2013 edition.

AsiO Gusto is the biggest international Slow Food event in Asia dedicated to high-quality, sustainable and small-scale food productions. It will gather producers, artisans, food communities, chefs, youth and food lovers from all over the world with a particular focus to Asia and Oceania.

The event will show how traditional gastronomy and sustainable agricultural practices are vital for our future. In addition to highlighting the value of local cultures, the event will reflect how the guiding principles of Slow Food – good, clean and fair, the protection of biodiversity, the importance of taste education – are increasingly shared at a global level.

The heart of the event will be once again the market, where exhibitors will have the possibility to present and sell their products, to meet and speak with visitors, telling them about the history behind their productions. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to find new market outlets, new buyers, to meet new possible partners, feeling to be part of a worldwide network. Traditional Korean culinary specialties will be showcased in dedicated stands, and an international area will allow visitors to discover and taste Slow Food Presidia, Ark of Taste products and other products from all over the world.
