Description

The general objective of the project is to promote agroecology and research in agroecology at a national level, in strong synergy with the activities and actions developed at a transnational level through the Agroecology Partnership and to provide indications for the Italian territorial context, also taking into account the objectives of the European Green Deal, the Farm to Fork strategy and the CAP. In particular, the project intends to achieve the following specific objectives:

  • define and share a common language to promote the understanding and application of agroecological principles;
  • increase connections between the actors of Italian agroecology including the scientific community, through the creation of an Italian network, and promote the exchange of knowledge, data and know-how;
  • map the networking experiences already present on the national territory and define the main strategies that contribute to the sustainable transformation of the Italian agri-food system;
  • promote communication and transfer of information between the activities at European level and the Italian network;
  • strengthen the "agroecological" component of current training courses and programs at various levels;
  • promote the development of future policies based on scientific evidence and the needs of the actors to accelerate the transition of national agri-food systems through agroecology.
