Educating through food: Models and practices between universities and communities

“Educating through food: Models and practices between universities and communities”, is the theme of a conference organized by the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo. As part of the Prin 2015 “Cucina Politica. The food language between social practices and ideological representations”, the conference is held on Thursday, June 20thand Friday, June 21st, 2019, and sees the participation of numerous Italian and international scholars.

Directed by Nicola Perullo, full professor of Aesthetics and director of Education at the University of Gastronomic Sciences, the two-day course deals with the issues of university education, historical and philosophical education models, current education projects related to food, as well as ecology and knowledge transfer to younger generations. It will be a plural reflection and showcasing the many facets of food languages today.
