Societ\u00e0 Benefit (Italy), Apicoltura Av\u00ece di Coppola Simone (Italy), Slow Food Italia (Italy)<\/p>\n DURATION OF THE PROJECT:<\/strong> 14 months (April 2025 \u2013 March 2026)<\/p>\n FUNDING INSTRUMENT:<\/strong> Fondazione CRC SDGs:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Description The oasis will be built at the University's Educational Garden (https:\/\/www.unisg.it\/campus\/orti-ecologici\/), located in the\u00a0 Agenzia di Pollenzo which has an area of 1,500 sq. m. on the plain near the Tanaro River, and is divided into several zones:<\/p>\n The entire area is managed with organic farming practices, such as: extensive crop rotations, green manures, use of compost, cover crops, minimal soil disturbance, planting of drip irrigation, low use of external products (e.g., copper and sulfur). The objective main goal of the project is to increase soil fertility, with emphasis on soil vitality including through h the use of mycorrhizae and biodiversity with plants attracting beneficial insects. Part of the area will be dedicated to growing flowers to attract pollinators and implement biodiversity.<\/p>\n Thanks to the contribution of CRC Foundation, a 100-square-meter Permanent Oasis will be created, to be implemented, where 2 beehives and 4 flower beds of 25 meters each will be located to promote biodiversity and green development; raise awareness of the environment and the impact our actions generate; and enhance and create awareness of the relevance of the role of beekeepers and farmers in managing ecosystem services for communities.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Updating<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Updating<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The call, sponsored by Filiera Futura and Fondazione CRC, aims to create flowering oases to foster biodiversity and support bees and pollinators by involving local communities.
