Come Visit the University of Gastronomic Sciences<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Second Open Day of 2006 at Pollenzo on Saturday April 8<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

On Saturday April 8<\/strong> the doors at UNISG will be open to welcome
\naspiring students and all those who are interested in finding out more
\nabout the University.<\/p>\n

During the Open Day, UNISG staff will be available to explain to
\nvisitors the project, the first academic institution dedicated to the
\nstudy of Gastronomic Sciences<\/strong>. Information will also be
\navailable on the history of the University\u2019s two historic campuses,
\napplication procedures and student services.
\nTwo conferences will be held, one in the morning and one in the
\nafternoon, during which the academic staff will describe the curriculum
\nof the degree course, the content and destinations of the thematic and
\nregional stages, postgraduate opportunities and the philosophy
\nbehind the University, inspired by the work of the Slow Food<\/strong>
\nassociation.<\/p>\n


\nHere is the detailed program for the Open Day of April 8<\/strong><\/p>\n

(a similar event is planned for Saturday June 24)<\/p>\n

\nThe UNISG Project: An Innovative Degree Course and Specialized Postgradute Programs
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

- Introduction to the UNISG teaching program and the Gastronomic Sciences faculty \u2013 Academic Office<\/em><\/p>\n

- How to apply (requirements, necessary documents, timeframe, costs) and student services \u2013 Registrar\u2019s Office<\/em><\/p>\n

- Stages and their educational value \u2013 Tutor Office<\/em><\/p>\n

Guided visits in Italian and English around the campus will leave after each conference, and by request.<\/p>\n

In the room opposite where the conference is held, visitors can find:

\nInformational material about the University (guides, brochures)<\/em><\/p>\n

Photos and films regarding the stages and student life<\/p>\n

Refreshments<\/p>\n

It is also possible for school groups to arrange, on request, guided tours of the University throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n

On Saturday April 8 the Colorno campus will not be open to the public<\/strong>;
\nhowever it is possible to make an appointment for a visit and meet with
\nstaff throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n
