The Pollenzo forums are permanent study workshop<\/strong>s, in the truest sense of the word.\u00a0 The Latin word studium<\/em>, in fact, refers to what we learn together in our time free from obligations and constraints, for the pure pleasure of understanding\u00a0 a situation and its related issues. Study is, furthermore,\u00a0 shared and participatory knowledge, in which everyone contributes. This, for that matter, is the original spirit of the concept of the university, as Universitas Studiorum<\/em>: groups of people who assemble to study together.<\/p>\n

Pollenzo hopes to restore the original significance of the word university, in the sense of a multiverse of subjects, perspectives, and identities that, together, contribute to the sustainable ideas and practices of the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These forums<\/em>\u00a0are created by and held by individuals<\/strong> \u2013 students from both the Pollenzo and external communities, and not only at the university level; professors and scholars from all backgrounds; and stakeholders \u2013 who take on the assignment of working together with the objective of contributing to awareness \u2013 both intellectual and emotional, individual and social \u2013 on one of the fundamental themes of our time: the question of the environment<\/strong>, beginning with food.<\/p>\n

They will take place over twelve Fridays between October 2019 and May 2020<\/strong> (see calendar), from 11:30am to 5:00pm on the Pollenzo campus.<\/p>\n
