Simone Mostratisi (Turin, Italy, 1997) is passionate about International Relations, and specialized in Public and Cultural Diplomacy.

In 2019 he was appointed “Young Italian Delegate to the United Nations” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a role that allowed him to be part of the Italian diplomatic mission and represent the Italian government at the UN General Assembly until 2021. In 2020, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Sciences for Development and Cooperation from the University of Turin.

As of September 2021, after starting his Master’s Degree studies at the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum in International Relations and International Security, he was selected for the Joint Degree with Johns Hopkins University through which he obtained the Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Public Diplomacy. His thesis entitled “Food as a Soft Power Resource in the Public and Private Sectors: a Comparative Study between France and Italy” was written in collaboration with the University of Pollenzo.

Parallel to her academic work Simone has been a Consultant at EDUACVTIVE mainly focusing on social, environmental and economic sustainability. He participated in the World Climate Conference (COP) in Madrid in 2019, and was also involved in the international Erasmus for Entrepreneurship project CHES.

His main research interests are International Relations, Gastro-diplomacy, Soft Power, Nation branding, Agenda 2030, and the role of national and international Institutions in strengthening exports.
