BIOGRAPHY

Paola Borrione is Head of Research of the Santagata Foundation for the Economy of Culture, which she has chaired since 2018. Expert in economic analysis of cultural production, innovation and new technologies, she is an evaluator for various European programs (since 2018 H2020 SME Expert Evaluator at the European Innovation Council – European Commission, Expert evaluator of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, Evaluator of the Horizon Programme). PhD in Cultural Studies (University of Siena), deals with the economics of culture, cultural policies to promote regional development and contemporary cultural production, particularly in connection with new technologies, an area in which he has gained extensive experience also at company level. He has conducted research, strategic consultancy and training projects, gaining extensive experience at a national and international level. She is a contract professor at IULM, Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte and SciencePo – Université Sorbonne and author of studies and research on the Economics of Culture including recently: “Cultural economics and Good Living” with G. Segre and Andrea Porta in Buon Vivere (Good Living) as Relationship Economy, Profession designer under 35 in Piedmont (2022) with C.C. Amitrano, C Germak and G. Segre, The impact of Creative Europe in Italy (2021) with F. Puletti and V. Falletti, “Kids, Today We are Going to the Museum!” Discriminating Factors in Museum Visiting for Families With Children in Italy, (2021) with M. Friel and G. Segre, Arte al futuro. Survey on emerging artistic careers and independent cultural production in Italy (2021) with E. Bertacchini, Innovation and culture. Start-up entrepreneurship for art and cultural tourism (2020) with M. Friel, Transnational heritage and cultural policies for the Alpine Region (2020).
