BIOGRAPHY
Fabiana is a Systemic Designer, Project Researcher for Sustainability and Research Fellow at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo and a member of Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS).
From March 2021 to June 2022, she was a Research Collaborator at the University for the PASS and FISH research projects. The PASS – Piedmont and Academy for Sustainable Development project aimed to strengthen regional governance for sustainable development by defining new models between academia and regions, while the FISH – Innovative Soil and Habitat Fertiliser project aimed to design a circular business model for the development of a sustainable and scalable fish and horticultural value chain, reusing by-products from the fishing industry to produce an innovative biostimulant.
Since November 2022 she is a Research Fellow for the European project SF4C (Horizon 2020), whose acronym is “SchoolFood4Change: shifting school meals and schools into a new paradigm addressing public health and territorial, social and environmental resilience”. The project looks at schools as catalysts for systemic change towards a sustainable and healthy food system. The goal of SF4C is to achieve long-term systemic transformation, benefiting both people and the planet.
Finally, in 2020, she obtained a Master’s Degree with honors in Systemic Design at the Politecnico di Torino, the thesis focused on education as a social tool for the transition to a Circular Economy in the rural context. In 2018, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Design and Visual Communication, also at the Politecnico di Torino, with a thesis on the state of the art and the new communication strategies of environmental certifications. During her studies she has been involved in projects concerning Systemic Design, Circular Economy, and design education.
