Unisg Slow Food Convivium
The university’s relationship with Slow Food International is a strong one that provides many benefits to students, including participation in the various events and initiatives that the organization coordinates. Students also take active roles in planning, often through the Slow Food convivium launched on campus a number of years ago.
As in other convivia around the world, the UNISG convivium organizes lectures, tastings, dinners, and visits to food producers in order to promote Slow Food’s projects locally, including everything from school gardens to international conferences. At the same time, it offers students a bridge between school life and the greater community, and the chance to put their own mark on the Slow movement.
Unlike convivia in other parts of the Slow Food community, the student group brings together members from a wide range of regions and cultures, and is a rich setting for international exchange.
