Antonella Campanini

Biography
Antonella Campanini is a UNISG Staff Researcher in medieval history and professor of History of Food and History of Cuisine.
Studying under Vito Fumagalli, she received her undergraduate degree in Literature and Philosophy at the University of Bologna, later graduating in Archival Studies, Paleography, and Diplomacy at the State Archives of Modena. She has completed post-graduate work in Italian and European Food Studies at the University of Parma, and is a qualified post-secondary educator.
From 2000 to 2006 professor Campanini worked in the archival field, assigned to the department of Paleography and Medieval Studies at the University of Bologna.
She currently manages two history research labs and teaches Food and Society at the François-Rabelais University of Tours (France), and Methodologies and Resources for Food History at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples. She also teaches Paleography at the School of Archival Studies, Paleography, and Diplomacy at the State Archives of Bologna.
